Chapel Choir's Trip to Yorkshire
The School's Chapel Choir performed beautifully at Ripon and Clumber Park Chapel and enjoyed visiting York Minster
As the choir’s first venture of this nature, there was a slight sense of trepidation as we set off up the A1. However, the weekend was a triumph and enjoyed by all.
The performances were clearly the high point. The choir sang in Ripon Cathedral, having perused the art exhibition and visited the Saxon crypt, and were given first class seats and a warm welcome in York Minster, where they observed the Cathedral Eucharist. Having moved on to Nottinghamshire, they raised the roof singing in Clumber Park Chapel, where the tea room also proved a delight! All in all a good balance of fun and performance focus was achieved and we are now planning our next trip for 2017!
